What is Pilates?

Pilates is an innovative and safe form of exercise that has evolved from the principles created by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. Through the use of a floor mat, various pieces of specialized equipment and a deep mind/body connection, Pilates transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. Practiced correctly and using Joseph's original principles, the practice of Pilates creates a uniformly strong, effective and efficient body.

Whether it's a former-ballerina with physical therapy expertise or a group exercise instructor who found her home in Pilates, you can be sure you are working with a teacher who has a deep understanding of the Pilates method and most-importantly, a passion for helping her students have a healthy body and happy life.
